Custom tattoos

Subject Matter - What’s your idea? Send me specific imagery/subject matter. Reference images are helpful even if the subject matter is different from your idea, a reference image can capture the “look,” that you’re going for.

Style - Be descriptive; bold and graphic or delicate and minimal. Ornate? Art Deco? Let me know! Not sure what to call it? Send reference images of tattoos or artwork you like - doesn’t matter if it’s not of the same subject matter.

Placement - Where is the tattoo going? Filling a specific gap? I can make that happen - send some pics of the spot so I can plan the design to fit.

Size - let me know a ballpark size so I can draw the design accordingly. Inches is fine or use a comparison, “about the size of a dollar bill.” This doesn’t have to be exact, I just need to know how detailed I should get with the drawing.

Design Process - Drawing happens the day-of or day before your appointment. Your design will be ready to view at your appointment. Any edits to the design can be made in person. Thanks for choosing me for your custom idea.

  • CRAB LADY + SLEEPY EYES

    I was given free interpretation of this idea and chose to reference the Japanese Samurai crab. Using an illustrative style, I shaped the hair to double as a crab body and then added the legs.

  • PIG, PJ’S, STOCKING CAP, NIP PIERCINGS

    I went with an illustrative style and the “fainting chair,” pose for this design, complete with an unbuttoned pj top to accommodate the request for nipple piercings.

  • DIORAMA SEA CREATURES

    Diorama style - send me a list of subject matter and I will puzzle it all together

    This client sent a list of sea creatures, no reference images. I went with illustrative style and created my version of a seaside postcard.

  • RICHARD SCARRY

    Piggy in a pickle car by Richard Scarry. I adapted the illustration to be tattooable in an American-Traditional style.

  • TIGER + BOW

    Client sent reference images of some of my previous work. This is my version of a Japanese-Traditional tiger.

    We chose colors together in person to coordinate with her other tattoos.

  • MIRRORED DIVING SWALLOWS

    The client asked that I frame the curve of their ribs. Reference images included a photo of crane tattoos positioned similarly on the torso. We added stars to the design in person on the day-of. I’d call this illustrative style with heavy dot-work.
